Cardiovascular Services by doctors with world-class training and decades of experience

The Cardiovascular Unit is a non-invasive unit that offers a wide-range of diagnostic procedures for patients with suspected cardiovascular problems. The unit is equipped with top-of-the-line echocardiographic and vascular machines and systems. Our unit is also staffed with specially trained and certified cardiac and vascular sonographers who work together with cardiologists in performing diagnostic procedures and interpretation of various tests.

Our current services include:

  •  Consultation

  •  Electrocardiogram (ECG)
      •  A test that measures the electrical activity of the heartbeat.

  •  2D echocardiogram (2D echo)
      •  A test in which ultrasound technique is used to take pictures of heart.

  •  24-hour Holter monitoring
      •  A continuous test to record your heart’s rate and rhythm for 24 hours.

  •  24-Hour ambulatory BP monitoring
      •  A small digital blood pressure machine that is attached to a belt around your body and which is connected to a cuff around your upper arm.

  •  Carotid duplex scan
      •  A simple and painless test that combines two types of ultrasound to look for blockages in your carotid arteries.

  •  Transcranial duplex scan
      •  A neuroimaging tool for measuring and recording cerebral blood flow velocity changes due to neural activation.

  •  Arterial and venous duplex scans
      •  Arterial duplex scan is a painless exam that uses high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) to capture internal images of the major arteries in the arms, legs and neck.
      •  Venous duplex scan is a painless exam that uses high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) to capture internal images of the veins that return blood to the heart.

  •  Abdominal and renal duplex scan
      •  An ultrasound that allows visualization of the renal or kidney arteries located in the abdominal area.

  •  Arterial and venous mapping
      •  Arterial and venous mapping is an ultrasound test performed by specially trained technologist and interpreted by a vascular doctor or physician.

  •  Evaluation of dialysis access
      •  An ultrasound examination for evaluating postoperative hemodialysis designed to detect abnormalities.

  •  Exercise stress test
      •  It is used to determine how well your heart responds during times when it is working its hardest, helps the doctor to monitor your heart rate.

  •  Segmental pressure waveform analysis
     •  It is use in the diagnosis of peripheral arterial occlusive diseases.

  •  Ankle brachial pressure index with Photoplethysmography
       •  It is a quick noninvasive way to check peripheral artery disease.  •

Future services:

  •  Exercise stress echocardiogram
      •  A procedure that determines how well your heart and blood vessels are working.

  •  Dobutamine stress echocardiogram
      •  A test involves the injection of a medication called dobutamine while the patient is closely monitored.

  •  Transesophageal echocardiogram
      •  A diagnostic test using a special probe placed within the esophagus that employs ultrasound waves to make images of the heart chambers, valves and surrounding structures.
